The Loyalsock River after Hurricane Lee

The river has a more defined path after the hurricane bulldozen it's way through the valley. We put on at 4.5ft, below recommended level on the AW site, to our surprise there was good enough flow with some super fun waves on the lower section. Geren and I surfed and surfed and surfed, next thing we knew it was 4pm and we still had a ways to go. We got out the river just before it was getting dark.  I look forward to exploring this river with more water, there are two great waves to play on which stand out in my mind. On a large level I'm pretty sure there will be some exciting play boat features.

American Whitewater Exposure

The 2012 American Whitewater Calendar was released last week and two photos of mine where selected for the calendar.  The bottom left, was from the Green River Flow Study on the Green River, Vermont. The other shot is right of the Green River photo and that of Danny Doran flying off a flake at the bottom of Fowlersville Rapid on a high water Moose run. All the images are look fantastic, so if you are in need of a calendar or need to get someone a gift for Christmas this is a great option. You can buy it here.

The Ottawa River Panoramic Out Take

The Ottawa River defines the border between Quebec and Ontario. The total length, 1271km (790 miles). In the early 19th century the Ottawa River and it's tributaries were used to access untouched White Pine forest.

It's one of the busiest rivers during the Northern Hampshire's summer months, with commercial rafting and kayaking companies occupying its waters. It's a treat to go paddle and shoot up there. Here's an out take shot from my trip in October, I was making a panoramic and this was my first test shot, I really like the early morning light against the fall foliage.
