With this warm winter not leaving the area, we got some rain and managed to get out for a session on Rock Run, it was only -4 C. We managed to squeeze two laps in before it started to get cold, including the "dodgy" drop below the take out. I had only heard war stories of people getting hurt, mysterious rocks but never the good stories of people running great lines. The week after xmas I paddle the bottom drop with Art Baker, we had a good look to see where the hazardous spots are, we both ran good lines. So yesterday, I offered to take Josh to have a look at the bottom drop, we both ran the rapid. I'm hoping to try get rid of the heavy war stories and replace them with factual, positive stories of the drop, as its one of the best drops on the river, offering a few different lines to choose from.
I'm excited for the spring and a high water !
